WE ARE OPEN, WITH PRECAUTIONS
The Cedars Davidson is open for guests. As a lodging establishment, we were considered an essential business and so we never actually closed. We have had a few guests during the stay-at-home order who were traveling to or through Davidson. Now, with the modified order we are looking forward to hosting guests once again.
Because your health and sense of security are so important to us, we will only rent two rooms out on any night. As soon as we rent any two rooms, we will block off the others. Likewise, to enforce social distancing, we will offer two different seatings at breakfast, so that guests who are not traveling together will not have to eat near each other.
Naturally, we will continue to be vigilant in our room hygiene, using disinfectant wipes and sprays to clean all bathroom surfaces, light switches, and door handles. We will wear masks at all times in our face-to-face interactions with you. If you have questions or concerns about other aspects of our cleaning protocols, please contact us.
If you make a reservation and changes in the public health environment require you to cancel, there will be no cancellation charge.
There is one other complicating factor: we are for sale. We have loved our stint as innkeepers, but it is time to spend more time with grandchildren and other pursuits. This means that we cannot rent rooms for dates that are far in the future without a clear understanding that we might have to cancel a reservation that is for a date after we close on an offer to purchase. (There are no such offers at this time.) For this reason, we have blocked out dates that occur more than one month from the current date. If you would like to make a tentative reservation for any “out” date, please call us.
